Zoltán Molnár elected external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Professor Molnár thanked the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics and St John’s College for their continued support.

The Assembly of Academicians elected the new members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from among the 136 researchers on the joint academy candidate list on Wednesday, May 7th. External and honorary members are elected by their colleagues who are full or corresponding members of of the Academy.

After the election, the new academicians were also presented at the 199th General Assembly of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 7th May 2025.

Following the latest election of members, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences has 294 full members, 71 corresponding members, 201 external members and 191 honorary members.
